NASHVILLE, TN, January 15 - OralDNA Labs, Inc. (www.OralDNA.com), a specialty diagnostics company focused on bringing advanced laboratory testing to the dental community, today announced it has entered into an agreement to be the JP Institute's exclusive partner for diagnostic testing education.

Under the terms of this agreement, OralDNA and the JP Institute will conduct joint programs together throughout the United States in 2009, beginning with a program in Nashville, Tennessee on February 6-7, 2009.

"We are pleased to work with OralDNA Labs in communicating the importance of diagnostic testing in dentistry," said Jan Lazarus, co-founder of the JP Institute. "For the 30 past years, our JP Institute team has recognized the clinical impact of under-diagnosis of periodontal infections. Our team is extremely excited to finally have clinical lab tests that will improve the accuracy of diagnosis for these serious infectious diseases. This will allow Dentists, Hygienists and Periodontists to diagnose and treat these infections with the importance they deserve. We believe patient care can improve dramatically by using laboratory tests to identify the specific cause of infection and to predict the patients that often require more aggressive therapy."

"OralDNA is pleased to join with a high quality partner like the JP Institute," said Dr. Tom Nabors, chairman and Chief Dental Officer of OralDNA Labs. "We are excited that they see the value in diagnostic testing. Together we can continue to provide the right clinical training and follow-up for proper implementation. Jan and her team of trainers can help dental offices implement testing and integrate it into the overall office protocol for patient care."

About OralDNA Labs, Inc. (www.OralDNA.com):

OralDNA Labs, Inc. is a specialty diagnostics company created to advance clinical testing in the dental community. Our goal is to help the dental profession achieve better clinical outcomes by providing reliable, definitive and cost effective clinical tests that drive the detection and prognosis of disease at an earlier, more treatable stage, with an initial focus on periodontal disease.

Periodontal disease is a bacterial infection that causes an inflammatory response. The disease is present in an estimated three quarters of the adult population in the United States, with 30-35% of this population having a genetic trait which predisposes these individuals to more serious forms of the disease. If patients are not properly diagnosed and treated at early stages, periodontal disease can lead to bone loss, tooth loss and implant failure. Research now suggests an increased risk to a number of systemic diseases when chronic periodontal infections are left untreated.

OralDNA offers two DNA-PCR tests for periodontal disease diagnosis and genetic susceptibility. MyPerioPath(SM) detects the presence and quantity of specific bacteria associated with periodontal disease. MyPerioID(SM) PST(R), licensed through a marketing, sales and distribution agreement with Interleukin Genetics, provides a means of assessing an individual's genetic risk for periodontal disease.

The company is also developing an oral HPV test for use in assessing risks associated with oral cancer. Thereafter, OralDNA intends to develop a broader menu of clinical laboratory tests for use in oral medicine.
