SC Magazine Names IScan Online 2013 Industry Innovator For Analysis And Control

Reviewers: iScan Online is Cost-Effective, Nearly Hands-Off in Operation and Gives Specific Results

DALLAS, December 3, 2013 – Calling iScan Online, “a sterling example of forward-thinking innovation,” SC Magazine, a top publication covering IT security, has recognized iScan Online as a 2013 Industry Innovator in the Analysis and Control category. iScan Online, pioneers of BYOD security scanning from the cloud to any device, anytime, anywhere, offers a suite of security scanning services to give administrators insight and confidence regarding all of the devices that have access to their organizations’ networks, applications and data.

iScan Online has filled a void in enterprise security by enabling organizations to perform internal PAN, PCI and vulnerability scanning of Android and iOS smartphones, tablets and Mac and Windows PCs without installing complex software or needing additional hardware. iScan Online has solved the problem of managing the scans of devices that move on and off the network, and gaining visibility for regulatory compliance, which had posed significant challenges for those responsible for enterprise security.

“This is a potential killer app in the vulnerability management domain,” reported SC Magazine in its December 2013 issue. “One huge benefit we see is that it is accessible to small and midsized businesses based on its reasonable cost and its ease of use. That's good news because those are exactly the businesses that usually are considered low-hanging fruit by the bad guys. Oh, and those mobile device endpoints? Don't worry. They're covered too.”

This is the second major recognition for iScan Online since the company launched one year ago. Earlier, iScan Online was presented the highly coveted MSPAlliance MSPWorld Cup Award™ by MSPAlliance.

“Recognition from a respected IT security publication like SC Magazine means a great deal as iScan Online continues to build awareness in the market about the importance of BYOD security scanning and the unique capabilities of our services,” said Carl Banzhof, CEO of iScan Online. “We are especially pleased that the editors emphasized our simplicity, speed, accuracy and affordability, which work together to ensure device users and network administrators can take action to protect their information.”

iScan Online services currently offered include:

  • iScan Online Cloud Apps for online scanning via native Web browser plug-ins or as a command line interface.
  • iScan Online Cloud Console for managing device security and compliance scans with simple visualization of scanning outcomes.
  • iScan Online for Mobile for security scanning and device management of smartphones and tablets via Android and iOS mobile apps.
  • iScan Online Software Development Kit (SDK) for organizations that wish to embed mobile security scanning into their applications.
  • iScan Online RESTful API for integration into 3rd party solutions, including managed service providers, financial services firms and PCI consultants, among others.
