Former M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Physicians Dr. Steven Mamus and Dr. Jose Luis Pino-y-Torres Join Practice
ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Cancer Centers of Florida is bolstering its physician team to meet growing demand for comprehensive community-based cancer care throughout the Orlando area.
Dr. Steven Mamus and Dr. Jose Luis Pino-y-Torres will serve patients at Cancer Centers of Florida's locations in Altamonte Springs, Ocoee, downtown Orlando and east Orlando.
Dr. Mamus, medical oncologist and hematologist, and Dr. Pino-y-Torres, radiation oncologist, join the practice from M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando.

Dr. Mamus received his medical degree from the University of New York at Syracuse. He completed three years of residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago and completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Minnesota Hospital.
Dr. Pino-y-Torres received his medical degree from the University of Madrid, Spain. He completed three years of residency at University of Minnesota Affiliated Hospitals, including Mt. Sinai Hospital. He completed his radiation oncology residency at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md., and fulfilled a fellowship in hematology/oncology from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Mamus is board certified in internal medicine with subspecialties in hematology and medical oncology. Dr. Pino-y-Torres is board certified in internal medicine with subspecialties in oncology, hematology and therapeutic radiology.
Cancer Centers of Florida, part of the US Oncology network, is a regional oncology and hematology practice with a dedicated team of physicians. The practice treats approximately 5,000 Orlando-area patients annually.
