Schipul – The Web Marketing Company helps Web Entertainment Guide Connect Viewers with Webisodes

Web Entertainment Guide developed by SchipulHOUSTON, November 23, 2009 – Web Entertainment Guide is seeking to be the TV Guide of original online programming – only without all the paper and waste. Designed by Schipul – The Web Marketing Company (www.schipul.com), Web Entertainment Guide (www.webentertainmentguide.com) tracks and organizes the best original online programming.

Web Entertainment Guide seeks to attract the tens of millions of viewers who are increasingly turning off their televisions and turning to their computer screens for original programming. According to the September 2009 comScore Video Metrix service, more than 168 million U.S. Internet users watched nearly 26 billion videos online video during the month.

“Tracking and organizing the best original online programming is a monumental undertaking, however, with the help of the team at Schipul, we are up to the challenge,” said Michelle Mower, founder of Web Entertainment Guide. “I think even people who are fans of  online programming will be surprised and excited when they see all the best Web series organized and presented in one place on Web Entertainment Guide. It really illustrates the quality, creativity and sheer volume of what’s happening in Web entertainment.”

Schipul developed Web Entertainment Guide using the open source Drupal content and community management system. It features an easy-to-navigate A-to-Z directory of nearly 300 Web series, interviews with the people behind the shows, news updates and a blog. Drupal enables Web Entertainment Guide to easily add and edit content. It also includes features to enable strong search engine optimization.

Schipul’s Drupal packages include custom Drupal themes, installation, module enhancements and Drupal upgrades as the software continues to evolve and improve.

“Drupal offers customers an alternative that is robust, easy to use, and constantly growing and adapting with the help of a worldwide community of open source developers,” said Ed Schipul, president of Schipul - The Web Marketing Company.
