NEW ORLEANS, November 2, 2006 -- Schipul - The Web Marketing Company (www.schipul.com) has announced that the Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) has selected the Tendenci association management system to power its new Web site. The organization''s leadership considers the new site, www.ltc-la.org, an important step in helping the LTC realize its vision of making Louisiana "Tech Capitol of the South®."

Tendenci was created by Schipul, a leading worldwide provider of Web-based solutions for membership organizations. The Web-based system automates and simplifies many of the functions of association management.

The LTC provides programs, events, organizational support and other value added services that contribute to the competitiveness and growth of Louisiana''s technology industry. The new Web site features user-friendly capabilities designed to make it easier for users to find, review and register for events.

"Tendenci''s content management system makes it easy for us to add and edit site content, which helps us keep the site updated with valuable information," said Adele Tiblier, director of operations with the LTC. "We anticipate the new Web site will play an important role in accelerating the recovery of the region''s technology industry."

In addition to an online event calendar, the new LTC Web site features a business directory and job bank, both of which enable users to conveniently post information themselves.

Tendenci leverages the global reach of major search engines such as Google and Yahoo! by automating certain aspects of search engine optimization. This increases LTC''s online visibility to individuals and businesses around the world interested in the recovery of Louisiana''s economy.
