Voxofon Launches Native iPad Version of Flagship Communications App

Voxofon Says "Ahn-Young!" ("Hello!") to Korea With Language Localization

HOUSTON, Oct. 29, 2013 -- Voxofon, a rapidly growing provider of over-the-top (OTT) voice and messaging services, today announced the immediate availability of the first Voxofon app to include native support for iPad. The release of version 5.1 from Voxofon is among the few OTT communications apps that are optimized for the iPad's screen size and resolution. It illustrates Voxofon's ongoing commitment to users of the full portfolio of Apple iOS devices, making it easier than ever for Voxofon users to stay connected via voice and messaging with friends, family and work associates around the world or across the street.

With the pre-holiday launch of the thinner, lighter and faster iPad Air, a renewed wave of excitement surrounding iPads is expected for months to come. With Apple reporting that more than 170 million iPads have been sold since the tablets launched three years ago, iPads are an integral part of how tens of millions of people consume and share information. Whether at work, at home, or at the beach, people expect to see the apps they most frequently use on their iPhone to be optimized and even enhanced on the iPad.

"We heard the feedback from our customers, and we took on the challenge to reimagine how Voxofon could enhance the iPad user experience," said Julia Goloshubina, Vice President, Products with Voxofon. "The result is a familiar Voxofon user interface that is richer, more practical, and even easier to use on the iPad, while also enabling customers to synchronize all their voice and messaging communication between all their devices, whether connected over WiFi, 3G, or 4G."

Voxofon version 5.1's new features also include Korean language localization and enhancements to the user interface to match the new iOS7 design.

"Voxofon for iPhone continues to be our flagship product, and we are always looking for opportunities to improve the user experience and find new markets for expansion," said Goloshubina. "We are very excited to introduce the Korean language version to one of the countries with the highest adoption of smartphones and OTT communication apps in the world!"

Users give Voxofon for iPhone and iPod an excellent rating of 4.5 stars. As Voxofon continues to grow in revenue and popularity as a Top 20 grossing app and a Top 50 downloaded app in the Social Media category of iTunes, this latest version continues to showcase leadership in making it simple and easy to call or text internationally across multiple devices or platforms.

Voxofon with native support for iPad can be downloaded free from iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/free-calling-cheap-international/id436145499?mt=8).
