Small Batch Series of Craft Beer Styles Continues to Generate Excitement Among Craft Beer Lovers

HOUSTON, February 28, 2007 -- March will come in like a lion if Saint Arnold Brewing Company has anything to do with it. There is nothing timid about Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 4, the latest incarnation of the unique single-batch series from the oldest craft brewery in Texas, which is scheduled to begin appearing on store shelves on March 1st. Due to intense demand, insiders expect the beer to disappear from store shelves shortly thereafter.

Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 4 is a Wee Heavy Scotch Ale that has been in development for more than two years. Despite being unfiltered, Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 4 boasts bright clarity that makes it easy to appreciate its deep ruby color and thick, tan head.

"This is a multifaceted beer with a body that is sweet and creamy, not thin and not heavy," said Brock Wagner, founder and chief executive officer of Houston-based Saint Arnold Brewing Company. "Although each Divine Reserve recipe is unique and will never be repeated, they do have one thing in common. They are all big, strong, intense beers that challenge the way people think about beer."

Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 4 will be available for a very limited time in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.

Saint Arnold Divine Reserve features small batches of high-quality, full-flavored beer. Each new batch features a completely different recipe and is distinguished from its predecessors by the batch number on the neck label. Approximately 800 cases of Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 4 have been produced.

Although it is refreshing, Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 4 is best sipped in small quantities, with alcohol by volume of 9.5 percent. It has an original gravity of 1.0835 and final gravity of 1.021.

Saint Arnold Divine Reserve No. 4 will hit store shelves on March 1st. The previous three versions of this beer brand sold out quickly and some are now being traded amongst beer connoisseurs who have let them age. It is priced between $12.99 and $13.99 per six-pack.
