Rafte & Company Joins Forces With the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program to Help Houstonians In-Need

HOUSTON, October 30, 2007 - Rafte & Company (www.rafte.com), a leading and proven provider of strategic technology consulting services, legal software solutions, and IT network design, implementation and management services, has joined forces with the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP) and Houston-area corporations and law firms to help Houstonians in need receive legal advice that is otherwise financially out-of-reach.

"The Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program is very pleased to welcome Rafte and Company as a supporter in this collaborative effort among law firms and social service agencies," said David Mandell, executive director of HVLP. "Along with the 4,000 Harris County attorneys who serve as HVLP volunteers, Rafte & Company is making a difference in the lives of low-income clients, their families and communities."

Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program (HVLP) provides free legal services to low-income residents and often provides legal services by reaching out to communities.

"Many of our clients do not have transportation available to visit our offices, so we offer events that take legal professionals to low-income Houstonians," said Mr. Mandell. "We basically set up mobile legal offices to provide various legal services. Rafte & Company is helping with our mobile computing needs by setting up our wireless internet access, supporting our attorneys' computer systems and coming up with a repeatable roving information technology infrastructure. With their help, we are one of the most mobile free legal services providers in the country."

"We couldn't be more proud to be associated with HVLP, an organization that is making a profoundly positive difference in the lives of thousands of local families," said Dena Rafte, founder and president of Rafte & Company. "With 30,000 requests for assistance coming in each year, reliable and accessible technology will help HVLP provide seamless services to families in need."

Founded in 1981 by the Houston Bar Association, HVLP links qualified applicants with attorneys volunteering their time on a pro bono basis. For more information, go to www.hvlp.org.
