HOUSTON, JANUARY 15, 2004 – Four Houston-area AT&T associates are being recognized for top sales performance in 2003.

Houston residents Heather Bennett-Marburger and Tricia Smith have won the company’s top award recognizing sales leaders, the Leaders Council 2004 award. The Leaders Council program honors and rewards the top two percent of AT&T business services employees for their outstanding sales performance, productivity and exemplary customer service.

Rick Duran of Missouri City and Rick Plasencia of Pearland have won the company’s prestigious Gold Club 2004 award that recognizes the top 10 percent of sales leaders.

“These four associates are outstanding examples of employees whose accomplishments and performance demonstrate what a valuable asset they are to our Enterprise team,” said Philip Johnson, AT&T sales vice president and general manager. “Receiving these awards is testament to the commitment and progress our sales winners are making in delivering the best possible experience for our business customers.”

This year’s Leaders Council winners will be honored with a four-day, three-night, all-expense-paid resort vacation to Carlsbad, Calif., in late March. Gold Club winners will be recognized with three-day, two-night, all-expense-paid trip to Las Vegas in late February.
