Schipul – The Web Marketing Company to Offer Social Media Advice at 2011 Power Tools for Nonprofits
Ed Schipul and Katie Laird to examine what motivates people to get involved
HOUSTON, November 8, 2011 – Social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube can be a boon for nonprofit organizations – providing a platform that can quickly spread information, recruit and mobilize volunteers, and raise funds. Schipul – The Web Marketing Co. (www.schipul.com) today announced that CEO and President Ed Schipul, and Communications Director Katie Laird, will present at the 2011 Power Tools for Nonprofits Conference to help nonprofits take advantage of social media.
Their workshop, “Social Media Success through Human Motivations and Smart Tactics,” will offer examples of how nonprofits around the world have motivated people both online and offline using smart Web marketing tactics and tools. The session will offer tips on how to use social technologies to accelerate the pace of achieving nonprofit goals.
“For any organization – whether a nonprofit or a business – it is essential to rise above the noise and focus on community building rather than selling,” said Schipul. “We look forward to exploring how to tap into human motivations by successfully using online networking and content sharing to drive exciting online campaigns.”
Economic conditions change from year to year, but the underlying issues related to the nonprofit sector remain constant. The 2011 Power Tools for Nonprofits Conference provides the necessary tools for volunteers and staff to fulfill their mission, provide better services, grow their organizations and build upon past successes.
The 2011 Power Tools for Nonprofits Conference is scheduled November 16, 2011 at Reliant Center. Mr. Schipul and Ms. Laird will present from 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. Registration for the conference is $49. To register, visit https://ceregister.uh.edu/CourseStatus.awp?~~11FNP0101Y.
